A reading from the Second Letter to the Corinthians:
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also
reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Each one of you must do as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly
or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to
provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you will always have
enough of everything you need and plenty to support every good cause. You
will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous. And generosity
will produce true thanksgiving to God, for when we do our part to help
others, it not only helps them but it enables us to express our abundant
gratitude to God. Thanks be to God for his gift beyond any words of gratitude.
The Word of God for the People of God:
Thanks be to God. Amen
